About Alexis

Life can feel really hard sometimes. We’re all trying to navigate a complicated world, and most of us were never taught how to handle the emotional and mental challenges that come with being human. When anxiety, stress, grief, or disconnection show up, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or alone. Alexis Bennett, LICSW, offers a warm, grounded space where clients can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. She helps people explore what’s getting in the way of feeling more like who they want to be. Alexis works with adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, grief, job stress, and relationship struggles. Her approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s needs, pace, and goals. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can reflect on their experiences, rediscover their strengths, and build healthier ways of coping. Her work is rooted in the belief that meaningful change happens through connection, insight, and compassion. Alexis also supports adolescents ages 13 and up, especially those dealing with emotional regulation challenges, ADHD, peer issues, or family conflict. Sessions with teens blend structure, warmth, and gentle humor, helping them feel understood, supported, and empowered. With extensive experience supporting individuals who are differently abled, Alexis provides thoughtful, inclusive care to both clients and caregivers as they navigate unique strengths and challenges. Alexis views therapy as a collaborative partnership. Her style is warm, validating, and often infused with humor—you’ll probably laugh at least once per session. She believes healing isn’t just about surviving pain or trauma; it’s about making room for joy, connection, and the possibility of feeling good again. She offers a steady, compassionate place to land each week. Alexis Bennett is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than fifteen years of experience in the mental health field. She earned her Master of Social Work from St. Catherine University and her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.
