About Anne
Therapy works best when you don't have to pretend. Anne believes that healing starts with a relationship built on trust, honesty, and zero judgment. So many of us spend our lives filtering what we say—worried about being misunderstood, disappointing others, or being judged for our thoughts and feelings. Therapy should be the one place where you don't have to do that. Anne creates a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Bring the messy thoughts, the complicated feelings, the guilt, the anger, the anxiety, the things you've never said out loud. You won't shock her, and you won't be judged. Instead, you'll be met with compassion, curiosity, honesty, acceptance, and, when it fits, a little humor. Because sometimes laughter is just as healing as tears. Anne takes a strengths-based, practical approach to therapy, helping clients better understand themselves while building the tools and confidence to navigate life's challenges. Over the past 15+ years, Anne has had the privilege of supporting children, adults, and families through some of life's most difficult seasons. As a medical social worker, she walked alongside individuals and families facing serious illnesses and unexpected diagnoses. She understands that health challenges often bring anxiety, depression, grief, uncertainty, and the loss of the future you imagined. Anne provides a safe place to process those experiences, grieve what has been lost, adjust to life's changes, and discover hope and meaning in what comes next. Every client is different, which is why Anne tailors therapy to each person's unique needs. She incorporates evidence-based approaches while recognizing that no single method works for everyone. Her goal is to help clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with tools that create lasting change. Anne is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with more than 15 years of clinical experience. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University in 2009 and her Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Outside the therapy office, Anne loves traveling, cheering on her daughters, and embracing the joyful chaos of a house full of pets.
