About Bridget
Bridget is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health. She works with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, confidence, body image, relationship concerns, and other challenges that can leave people feeling stuck or disconnected from the life they want to be living. Bridget also has a special interest in supporting individuals throughout their weight and wellness journey. She works with clients before and after bariatric surgery, those using GLP-1 medications, and individuals navigating the emotional and behavioral changes that can accompany significant weight loss. Her work may include adjusting to changes in identity and body image, developing a healthier relationship with food and self, maintaining long-term changes, and addressing concerns such as emotional eating or transfer addiction. Her approach to therapy is warm, supportive, motivational, and practical. Bridget believes therapy should be a collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard while also being encouraged to take meaningful steps toward change. She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring treatment to each person’s individual needs, strengths, and goals. Outside of work, Bridget enjoys being outdoors, hiking with her dog, exploring Minnesota state parks, gardening and caring for her ever-growing collection of plants. She also enjoys cooking, live music, spending time with friends and family, and finding new places to grab a great cup of coffee.
