About Tara
Growing up biracial in Minnesota, I learned early that figuring out where you fit can come with a lot of questions—and sometimes, not many answers. My own experiences navigating identity, culture, relationships, and belonging shaped my curiosity about people and ultimately led me to a career in social work. I hold an MSW from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University and have years of work with teens navigating ADHD, neurodivergence, anxiety, and identity development. I believe therapy should be meaningful, individualized, and even enjoyable. My approach combines warmth and humor with directness and accountability. You are the expert on your life; I'm here as a supportive sounding board to challenge you, listen without judgment, and help you forge your own path forward. Together, we can explore how your family, culture, identity, spiritual beliefs, relationships, and life experiences have shaped you—and how those experiences can inform where you want to go next. My practice is a welcoming space for adolescents, young adults, and adults, with a particular passion for supporting individuals who identify as biracial or are navigating questions around identity, belonging, and culture. My job is to help you figure out where you want to go—and walk alongside you as you get there. Outside the office, I love spending time with family, traveling, eating good food, and making friends with other people's dogs.
